Mid-Semester Review
A few notes from previous lab reviews:
- What should methods look like?
- Step by step but general enough that some one could repo in another GIS package.
- Speak as though this was a real professional report
- Always need to include data sources
- Definitions: the one below is perfect:
- North American Datum 1983 Universal Transverse Mercator Zone 10 North (NAD83 UTM Zone 10N)
Learning Outcomes
- Create process flow diagrams or "flow charts"
- Use additional analysis tools.

Lab
In this lab, you will be moving through something as close as possible to a real GIS problem. You'll be downloading data from a real web site and it's data may change over time. We do expect one answer so move carefully through the lab and remember to:
- Read the instructions
- Take your time
- Look for which SR to use
